Retail Bag Design: Lululemon Athletica

Date: January 13, 2017

  1. How do you believe your design relates to the corporate Identity of your company?

I believe my design relates to the corporate identity of my company because on the outside I used their logo sign all over the front and back and put the company name on the side of their bag like all their bags have. On the inside of the bag, I took their original bag and put the outside on my inside. I also used their company colors.

  1. How does your bag portray the “holiday”?

My bag portrays the “holiday” because I used their logo sign as an ornament and snow. On the inside of my bag, instead of using the words on their normal bag, I used all different type of holiday sayings and words and different lines from holiday songs and poems.

  1. Do you think that the company you designed for would really use your bag? Why or why not?

I think they would use my bag because it resembles the company well. Also I used their original bag as a template for mine so it brings back and shows their original bag into the holiday bag I made.

  1. What makes your bag Unique and Different?

My bag is unique and different because I took the normal lululemon shopping bag and just switched it around and put the original outside on the inside. I believe that my bag is more simple and is pretty straight forward when relating to the corporate identity on the outside of the bag, but much more complex on the inside and has the exact format but different words of the original bag.

  1. Describe the process in which you took to create the bag? (From beginning to end)

First, I worked on the outside of the bag. I found the logo sign and I set up a pattern that made it look like it was snowing the lululemon logo on the bag. Then I made two large ornaments using the logo. Then for the inside, got a flat print of the usual outside of the lululemon bag and found different holiday words, sayings, songs, and poems. I aligned my words with the original words to make it look like the normal format.
