1.For your final project, your directions were to choose one of three portrait styles, (Mark-Making, Low-Poly, or Vector) and digitally “weave” it with the original photo. What style did you choose and why?
I chose the Low- Poly project because I feel like I was most successful in this project earlier in the year. I also had the most fun doing this project and I think it looks the best when you weave it with the original.
2.What tools did you primarily use for this project?
I used the polygonal lasso tool, the gradient tool, the rectangular marquee tool, and the paint brush tool.
3.What were some of the challenges you faced during this project?
Getting the small details with triangles was the most difficult for me because I would have to zoom all the way in and make small triangles to get the small details in the eyes and the hair.
4.In some cases, weaving two portraits together can be challenging because major details, like facial features, can become confusing or even lost in the process. Was this a challenge for you?
Do you think you were successful with your weave technique? Why?
I wanted a lot of my low poly project to show so I made sure that my weave was mostly the vertical lines and that my vertical lines were the cut out of my low poly project. I think I was successful because my weave is very realistic and most of my low poly project is showing.
