1.How does the design that you created demonstrate your knowledge of playing card design? The design I created uses the basics from the original playing card. I used symmetry with the reflection tool and I used the live paint tool and image trace to make my design’s vector.
How would the rest of the deck look? What would you do for the other picture cards? For the other picture cards I would do something very similar as my king. I would do the same background and white box in the center. I would dress the Jack and Queen in the same type of 90s style. For the other number cards I would do a simple background and over lapping shapes. All of the numbers and letters would be in the same MTV font.
How does your design demonstrate your knowledge of adobe illustrator?
My design shows the use of drop shadows, live paint tool, image trace, line tool, and paint and pen tool.
What do you feel was the most challenging part of this project and why?
The most challenging part of my project was getting the ideas. After I got the idea of what color scheme I was doing and what I was going to do for my picture card it was pretty easy.
If you can change one requirements what would it be and why?
If I could change one requirement, it would be that we did not have to use vector images. I had a lot of good images that represented the 90s that I could not use because it was not vector.
