  1. What was your job for this project?

My job for this project was to make a graphic t-shirt design for Urban Outfitters. My design was for the Gray Skull Apparel Company. The graphic had to represent the company and for Urban Outfitters.

2. What was the design process you took to complete the project? Please list your steps below.

  1. I sketched out my graphic idea.

  2. I found a picture that I based my graphic off of. (Sugar skull)

  3. I outlined the shape of the skull and fit “GRAY SKULL” into the forehead of the skull

  4. I used ideas from the picture of the sugar skull I was basing my design off of.

  5. I shape build the shapes that were connected to get rid of the paths.

  6. I wrote Apparel Company on the bottom on the graphic.

3. What did you find most challenging about your design?

The hardest part of my design was finding the right font. I went through about three fonts because my first font did not work with the rest of my design. Also I had trouble finding the right placement of Apparel Company.

4. If you can change one thing about your design what would you change?

If I could change one this about my design it would be my fonts and the placement of some of my words. Also I would want to decrease the amount of negative space inside my skull.

5. What do you think makes a good graphic t-shirt design?

I think I good graphic t-shirt design is a simple design but something that really draws attention to the shirt. I also think graphic t-shirts should look a little warn so I like shirts with designs that are a little warn out looking.
